Some Initial Reflections on the Summit in Cochabamba
This is just a first reflection on the monumental World People’s Summit on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth which just finished in Cochabamba. I will post more on particular aspects of the summit soon.
Venezuela Hails Cochabamba Climate Program
The Venezuelan delegation to the World Peoples’ Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth in Cochabamba, Bolivia, called for the ratification of the Kyoto Protocol and urged a systemic change from capitalism to socialism in order to stop global warming.
World People’s Summit Calls for a Climate Justice Tribunal
After three days of arduous debate, discussion and cultural meetings, theWorld People’s Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of the Mother Earth ended on Thursday, “Earth Day,” with big expectations for the upcoming summit late this year in Mexico.
