Last September, NO2ID supporters were invited to submit their ideas to POWER2010 on how we should change the way our country is run. Your response was fantastic.

In this coming general election, the POWER2010 campaign – with its UK-wide grassroots support – will be asking all Parliamentary candidates to sign the POWER2010 pledge, a promise of reform to which they will be held accountable after they enter office.

And the contents of that pledge are up to us.

You’ll be glad to hear that ‘Scrap ID cards and roll back the database state’ was one of the reforms short-listed. The POWER2010 campaign is now inviting people to vote for the ideas they want within the pledge. I wanted to make sure you had the chance to vote on the proposed reform to scrap ID cards and roll back the database state.

You can, of course, vote for as many reforms as you like – but just once for each idea (which is why they ask you to provide an e-mail address). When voting closes on 22nd February, the top five reforms will form the POWER2010 Pledge.

Please do take this opportunity to vote, and help send a clear message to every Parliamentary candidate: you *must* roll back the database state.
